Redefining Residential Children's Care
Welcome to Genus Care. We operate several children’s homes across Wales, offering residential child care services for ‘Looked after Children’ with an emphasis on Care & Support Plan achievement, longevity of placement and exceptional partnership working.
We provide a safe, fun, loving and nurturing environment for children and young people aged 5 and and upwards. With warmth, compassion and understanding, we celebrate each person’s individuality, embrace their unique needs and experiences, and create opportunities for happiness, growth and positive memories. Above all, we want everyone in our care to feel loved, valued and supported, helping them build confidence, discover their potential and flourish in their own unique way.

Our homes are regulated and independently inspected by Care Inspectorate Wales, ensuring the highest standards of care, support and leadership are maintained.
Positive but realistic thinking underpins everything Genus Care does. We genuinely believe that all children are capable of good things, of being inherently good.
Every child who comes to live with us brings a story – sometimes heavy, sometimes complicated, always completely their own.
At Genus Education, our registered independent school provides high-quality, personalised teaching in dedicated, on-site classrooms designed specifically to meet the needs of our young people.

As company Genus Care has vowed to undertake at least one company-wide fund-raising event per year, plus each of our homes does the same on a smaller scale.
Living with Us
If you’ve been told you might be coming to live with us, you probably have lots of questions and that’s completely normal. Moving to a new home can feel like a big change, but we’re here to help make that journey as comfortable as possible.
At Genus Care, we want every young person to feel safe, respected and supported from the very beginning. We hope this website gives you a better idea of who we are, what our homes are like, and how we’ll help you feel welcome, settled and part of our family.
